WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO TRUST AND SURRENDER

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO TRUST AND SURRENDER?

To trust and surrender, to me, means to let go of my thoughts. It means to let go of my need to control or assign meaning to what happens in my life by mentally manipulating my thoughts to feel good or bad about a situation. It is to accept what is as is and leave the rest up to the powerful intelligence that is the Universe.

To trust and surrender to me is to recognize that the most powerful gift of all is the gift of the present moment. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow has not come yet. What I really have is now. The magic of life is really in the now.

The pain of yesterday may still linger from time to time. The hopes for tomorrow may rear its head once in a while. However they are not real.  They are as real as the monster underneath my bed or the tooth fairy who promises to leave a dollar. My hopes and pains are only a product of my thoughts. I let the pain pass through me, and ask for healing. I let the hopes pass through me and pray for enjoyable experiences.

TRUST AND SURRENDER TO THE LOVE.

To trust and surrender to me means recognizing that the love that exists in the universe is endless and boundless. Instead, it is always available to me when I open myself to it. It is not conditioned on my righteousness. Regardless of how long I may have been in the dark, the sun never fails to shine on me when I come out in the sunlight. The love of the Universe is like sunlight.

To trust and surrender means to let it all go, and remain in the present because I am always protected—No Matter What!

I reread this book for the second time and it is never leaving my bed stand!
