HERE IS MY REVIEW of Robin S. Sharma’s book, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari
There are some things that no one had to teach me, but I have always known to be true. When I discover authors who talk about the same things in their books, it’s like you took me to church and the preacher preached just for me. It’s AMEN from beginning to the end!
It is also so refreshing to read books by different authors and have them say the same things differently. The chapter on the power of the mind is so similar to James Allen’s “As a Man Thinketh” (Another must-read ). The chapter on living a life of purpose is so similar to Marcus Aurelius’ “Meditations” on directing all of one’s efforts onto a focused purpose. Its either Jake Canfield’s “Success Principles” was inspired by this book or they were both inspired by the same source.
The only thing I would have loved the author to add was how incredibly painful a journey it can be to get to state that Julian was in. The average person has been mentally conditioned to hold a lot of untrue believes and unnecessary ways of being. The process of unlearning these believes and ways of being, and adapting to new ones can prove very challenging. Nonetheless incredible, incredible book!
