HERE IS MY REVIEW of Ryan Holiday’s book, The Daily Stoic:

This is a 365 daily devotional on stoic philosophy.

In the introduction of this book, the authors accurately point out how the word “stoic” has been misinterpreted in the English language to mean emotionlessness. This interpretation couldn’t be further from the true meaning of the word.

In his book, The Obstacle is The way (grab this book too if you haven’t already. it is heavenly ), Ryan quotes the philosopher Nassim Taleb’s definition of a stoic as someone who transforms fear into prudence, pain into transformation, mistakes into initiation and desire into undertakings. This is what stoicism is about!

I want to encourage you to grab a copy of this book and meditate on words of wisdom from great stoic philosophers like Seneca, Epictetus, and Marcus Aurelius. You will love it. I promise
