5 UPLIFTING QUOTES ON FEAR FROM THE BOOK, THE FEAR BOOK

CHERI HUBER

There has been a lot of books written on fear, and my favorite by far is The Fear Book by Cheri Huber. Cheri Huber offers a very simplified explanation on the psychology of fear as well as practical steps to take control of our lives instead of allowing the fear we feel to dictate our lives.

Fear in its essence is meant to be a protective signal. Our minds have gathered a lot of data from the experiences we have had and the information we have fed it. When we encounter a particular situation, our minds look through that data and predict a possible outcome for us. When it finds a possibly dangerous outcome, it communicates it to us in the form of fear. This fear is a prediction. It is not a certainty. It is about a future event. It is not happening in the present. And it may never happen at all.

HERE ARE FIVE UPLIFTING QUOTES ON FEAR FROM THE FEAR BOOK BY CHERI HUBER

If we are afraid of fear, we feed it, and it grows. If we leave fear to itself, if we give it no power, no energy, (yes this is possible!) eventually it consumes itself.

If we look at life as an opportunity to end our suffering, as an opportunity to embrace and heal all that has happened to us, our attention moves away from trying to fix ourselves and figure out everything and toward being with ourselves as we live our daily lives.

Being negative will not stop the things you dont want to happen from happening.

When we drop the idea that we are supposed to be having a different experience and open to the experience we are actually having, we avoid nothing and we fear nothing because we are right here with ourselves.

Decide that you want something that is not possible to have and then spend your life pursuing it.
